About Dave
I’m Dave. Just Dave, to you at least. However, once upon a time I was in the radio broadcast business. Back then I was Dave “Diamond.” Catchy, huh?
No.. no, please. Don’t confuse me with “Diamond” David Lee Roth. I was just Dave and the word “Diamond” crammed together. The name was fun and I had fun with the name. Most of that fun was spent polluting the FM broadcast airwaves in cities like Las Vegas NV, Durango CO, Albuquerque NM, Farmington NM and Morgantown WV.
I’ve met and worked with some amazingly talented disc jockeys and air personalities. There is a difference, you know? I won’t go into it now. Ten plus years on the air, all told. What do I have to show for it?
Experience.
Now, that’s something you won’t get in broadcasting “school.” You can’t teach experience and believe me, once you have it, you won’t trade it for anything in the world. I digress…, for now.
When I was in the broadcast business, I had an image (or lack thereof) to protect. So, I had to carefully craft everything I said for fear of pissing off a client, potential client, listener and/or passers-by.
Well, I retired from the broadcast business recently.
